Kimberley is the Australian Teaching and Learning Lead at Google. She has spent the past twenty years supporting educators, leaders and education institutions to empower all learners with the tools and skills that set them up for success in building the future they want for themselves. She started her career as an award-winning English teacher, then worked in both school and system-level leadership, as well as at the university level. As the Director of a professional development company, Kimberley was fortunate to work with thousands of educators in dozens of countries globally. Today, she loves working as part of the Education team at Google Australia to transform education at scale.

Chris Betcher is Program Manager for G Suite Adoption with the Google for Education Team based in Sydney. He works with schools across Australia and New Zealand to help them understand what Google offers and aims to show them how to get the most from G Suite, Chromebooks and the whole Google ecosystem. Prior to this, Chris was a teacher for almost 30 years, teaching curious young minds about art, computing, multimedia and technology.

Jim Sill is a former high school teacher who enjoys a great story and loves inspiring people to tell theirs. Using his industry experience, he created an award-winning video production program in California, USA. By involving students in real-world video projects, they garnered awards and recognition at the local, state and national levels. His passion for creating authentic learning experiences for students and teachers has led him to work with teachers on all seven continents. Today, Jim lives outside of Melbourne on the traditional lands of the Wurrunjeri people and works with schools across Australia and New Zealand to support the adoption of technology to support teaching and learning.

Bettina Fifer is the Country lead at Google for Education and has been involved with the Education sector, in multiple Tech roles, for over 15 years. She is passionate about giving back and became an #IamRemarkable facilitator to assist this purpose. Bettina originally studied Zoology, wanting to make a difference in the world with animal conservation, and is now working to make a difference to learners around the country in her role at Google.

Rachel has a passion for supporting educators to use technology to enhance teaching and learning supporting all learners. She’s the Customer Success Director (ASIAPAC) at Texthelp and has worked with schools, colleges and universities delivering training and support in using EdTech. Prior to this, she was a Primary Teacher for 6 years in public and private sectors (AU and UK). During her teaching experience this has included Computing Curriculum designer and Lead Teacher of Technology for Learning. She is also an ISTE Certified Educator, Google Champion (Google Certified Trainer and Innovator).

An experienced educator and leader, Alex is currently a Director at Canberra Girls Grammar School. As a consultant for Deploy Learning, she has coached many teachers to become Google Level 1 and Level 2 certified, and was recently involved in the organisation and facilitation of Google Champion Symposiums in Singapore and Sydney. Alex is a Google Certified Innovator and Trainer, and she has been a mentor for several Google Innovators. Alex is also an International Baccalaureate workshop leader, consultant and school evaluator.

Rachel Peach has taught Science for over 25 years in London, Amsterdam, and now in Sydney working at Inaburra School as the Assistant Learning Leader for Science. Her passion for science began on her grandfather’s farm watching badgers, milking cows, and collecting wildflowers. It progressed through school to a first class honours degree in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry) from Cambridge University, and an MA with distinction in Science Education from the Institute of Education at London University.
She has a passion for pedagogy and delights in the challenge of reaching every student every lesson. Over four years ago Rachel came across the Modern Classroom Project and saw an innovative framework which brings many excellent pedagogical practices together to benefit learning and develop lifelong learning skills. Since then she has designed units of work for Years 7 to 12 which are self-paced, mastery based, and delivered using blended instruction. She also mentors and trains educators around the world to implement this framework in their subject areas and schools.

Hi my name is Clare. I have been teaching for just over 20 years and have a strong passion for Digital Technologies and Creative Arts in Education. I am currently working as the Digital Learning Specialist teacher for CSPD Parramatta Diocese. I am a Primary School teacher and previously taught at Santa Sophia Catholic College as the Digital Learning Leader for K-4 in 2023. Before that I was at Our Lady of Lourdes Seven Hills for 19 years, holding various roles of Classroom teacher, Creative Arts teacher, LTST and Leader of Learning. I enjoy providing opportunities for staff and students to share their talents and express their learning in creative ways with technology. I love looking for new opportunities to learn and have become a Google for Education Champion as an Innovator and Trainer, as well as an Apple Learning Coach and a Seesaw Ambassador. I enjoy sharing my skills with all schools in the diocese and building capacity in staff and students as 21st Century Digital educators and learners.
